About the project
This project is a large-scale mural initiative designed to highlight what makes our neighbourhood—and our city—so special: ecological beauty, sustainability, and community spirit.
The mural will be painted collaboratively with residents of all ages and skill levels, and unveiled during a special League Party celebration. Whether you vote, paint, or just cheer us on, this is your project.

Concept one: A City Sprouts
Honouring Urban Forests & Tree Planting
This design grows from the ground up — showing young saplings transforming into a thriving tree canopy. A tribute to Edmonton’s bold goal of planting 1.5 million trees, it reflects growth, legacy, and the green future we’re building together. -
Concept two: Into the Wilds
Celebrating Natural Areas & Biodiversity
A lush tapestry of native Edmonton wildlife — fluttering butterflies, curious hares, and soaring birds — interwoven with flowing elements from our natural spaces. This concept captures the wild heart of our city and reminds us of the beauty just beyond our doorsteps. -
Concept three: Cultivating Community
A Colourful Community Garden Scene
Bursting with vibrant garden boxes, veggies, flowers, and friendly spaces, this joyful scene celebrates urban agriculture and the people who make Ottewell feel like home. Togetherness, nourishment, and pride in every brushstroke.
